The Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) Mk-III is the most prestigious rocket developed by India. The GSLV Mk-III can place satellites weighing 2000-2500 kg into the Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO). The GSLV Mk-III is a three-stage vehicle. The first stage consists of two S200 solid boosters attached to the core rocket. The second stage of the main rocket is a liquid-fueled stage. The third stage is powered by a single CE-20 engine, which is the first cryogenic engine developed by India.
